Full understanding of the farm’s role/place within the Regional Food Bank
● Review the history of the Farm’s yield, capacity (staffing and infrastructure), and benefits
since 2006
● Maintain relations and seek out grants/ organizations to help aid further construction of
our High Tunnels.
● Assist in promoting the Farm through marketing and social media, to gain and retain
volunteers.
● Work hands on with volunteers to develop relationships and improve the volunteer
experience up at the farm
● Identify opportunities and innovations for building the farm’s financial sustainability,
such as through education programs and corporate retreats.
● Share opportunities and innovations with stakeholders to build buy-in and improve
ideas. Further relationships with CHA
● Assess the Farm’s intangible benefits (good will, volunteer opportunities)
● Research and identify opportunities for the farm’s education mission – including
partners and available grants
● Research other food bank farm models and freight farms
● Investigate and report on Volunteer recruitment and management
● Compile summary information for all options and work with staff to make
recommendations
● Have a well-rounded knowledge of the Farm to be able to give presentations on the
Farm’s history and current developments.
