We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a project manager. The responsibilities of the project manager include overseeing software projects from start to finish, managing and motivating team members, developing and delivering custom reports, giving customer presentations and working with customers to fully understand the scope of work and underlining needs, and fully scoping out project detail with narrative inside Jira.
To be successful as a project manager, you should have a good working knowledge of project estimation techniques, the product roadmap of all applications, and develop the voice of the customer to guide your direction. You should also be a great collaborator who enjoys working with diverse cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for all company products. Ultimately, a top-notch project manager must have strong leadership skills, be able to manage competing priorities, and have a deep understanding of software development methodologies and tools.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Gain a solid detailed understanding of the workings of all OmniSync apps and be able to have command over how to convey its value propositions to external parties
- Preparing project/pricing proposals, discussing potential projects with clients and stakeholders, and liaising for changes and negotiations with relevant stakeholders.
- Planning out the expectations for projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance to ensure the timely submission of project deliverables, transparency and alignment.
- Preparing the necessary documents and requirements within company ecosystem
- Tracking and documenting progress, key KPIs, and communicating project status updates to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying and assessing project risks, developing mitigation plans to address potential challenges
- Facilitating team meetings and collaboration
- Ensuring software quality standards are met and requirements are submitted on time including closing the project and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Remove impediments and ensure the team is empowered to achieve their commitments.
- Foster a collaborative and agile team environment, promoting open communication and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or other related field, or 5 years of experience in a relevant technical industry
- Knowledge and skills in Agile project management methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail, strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- High proficiency in project management software, such as Jira and GitHub
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills are a must
- PMP is preferred
- Must be able to work in-person on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and other days as needed.
- English fluency with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
