Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) is excited to announce the opening for a Summer 2024 internship within our IT Technology Solutions Team. Embark on an exciting journey as an IEHP Intern! Ideal candidate will be a Information Technology’s or Computer Science Major.

We are looking for the following:
Ideal candidate will be an Information Technology’s or Computer Science Major with proficiency in SQL, familiarity with healthcare industry EDI formats such as HL7 and X12 (837/835, 270/271, 276/277), experience with automation tools like Selenium, and knowledge of Azure DevOps and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Senior Undergraduate, Graduate students, recent graduate students
- Students should have a 3.0 GPA or higher, a copy of unofficial transcripts will be required.
- Students need to commit to a full-time schedule (40 hours a week), Monday through Friday, 08:00 am to 05:00 pm through the duration of the program.
- The interns will receive an hourly rate of $15.32 an hour.
- The internship period will run from 06/03/2024 – 08/26/2024.

Internship Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
- Skill Application: Gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in data analytics, automation testing, API testing, and the overall quality engineering process.
- Project Work: Interns will contribute to projects aligning with IEHP’s mission and goals, including working on data analytics projects and back-end database testing to enhance healthcare services and operational efficiency.
- Routine Tasks: Review business requirements to ensure alignment with project goals. Design and execute tests to evaluate system performance and functionality. Identify, document, and track bugs using Azure DevOps.
- Learning and Development: Intern will develop direct application of knowledge and practical skills in data analytics, automation testing, API testing, and quality engineering process. Intern will also learn how to use Azure DevOps for project management and collaboration in a tech-driven healthcare environment.
- Career Relevance: Develop a deep understanding of the quality engineering process, including tools and techniques used in modern software development. Gain valuable working experience with different stakeholders in the healthcare IT sector, preparing for a career in IT and software quality assurance.
