Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.
Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.
The Engine Machine Shop department is made up of the following departments; Blocks, Heads, Rods, Caps, Liners, Turbos and Central Tool processing. The selected candidate will work closely with our experienced team to support and improve our logistics processes. We are excited to provide a hands on experience in our production environment. We would like to utilize the technical knowledge, educational background and the fresh set of eyes of a college student to develop and implement creative solutions.
What You Drive at DTNA
- Utilizing Manufacturing Control Plans to update or create Standard Work Instructions and other important documentation.
- Utilize Practical Problem Solving methods to identify root cause issues
- Collect and organize relevant data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to monitor the performance of the department.
- Identify trends and patterns in departmental performance data, highlighting areas of improvement or concern.
- Support the implementation of Kaizen initiatives by tracking progress, providing updates, and addressing any challenges or barriers encountered.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university or have graduated within the last 12 months.
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 – $30 per hour.
