Overview
If you are looking to have an introduction to the Aerospace & Defense Industry, this may be a great start for you. The Program Management (PM) function serves as the primary customer point of contact and internal team leader for all assigned programs in the organization.
This internship role, slated for Summer 2024, will be actively involved in PM projects including contract negotiations, financial analysis, and program development. The individual will work closely with current CAES Program Managers to develop an understanding of the program management processes for a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor while expanding their skillset to provide a rewarding and enriching experience.
Responsibilities
This internship provides students the opportunity to join our Program Management team where you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide PM support to ongoing government contracts as well as new business
- Bid & Proposal activities including Project Kickoff, Project Management Plans, Budgeting and resources planning.
- Support the design and implementation of effective procedures and processes to enhance business capabilities
- Partner cross-functionally to identify & implement process enhancements to help track progress and improve functionality
- Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to streamline team operational processes to increase efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum
- Currently enrolled student in a relevant field heading into their Junior year, Senior year, or Graduate courses.
- Prior experience leading or managing an event, group project, or club activity
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred:
- Interest in the financial aspects of Program Management
- Results-oriented, operational mindset with passion in planning and project management
- Strong interpersonal skills; a team player and great communicator
- Ability to speak in front of an audience to potentially present to customers or external clients
- Ability to analyze data
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in Excel
We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas.
Salary Range: $23 – $30 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
