One team. Global challenges. Infinite opportunities. At Viasat, we’re on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. We’re looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.

What you’ll do

The NPI Planner plays a pivotal role in coordinating materials for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) programs, including government contracts. If you thrive on mastering sophisticated systems, this role is an ideal fit.

  • Become an authority in Bill of Materials (BOMs), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Master Production Schedule (MPS) for accurate demand-planning
  • Collaborate across departments—from production control to engineering and procurement—to ensure materials needs are met
  • Develop solutions to maintain a seamless flow of raw materials, sub-assemblies, and purchased parts
  • Partner with engineering and program management to understand the manufacturing and material aspects of builds
  • Continuously improve processes and optimize inventory, considering “Just-in-Time” and other relevant techniques
  • Apply data analysis skills to optimize outcomes
