Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Knowledge Development: Engage in on-the-job training activities to develop an in-depth understanding of Company products, manufacturing procedures, and lumber grades.
Operational Expertise: Acquire proficiency in panel and lumber grades, lumber math, and efficient material utilization. Develop a full understanding of cuts and yields, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency.
Administrative Functions: Learn to operate the Company’s business system to perform required administrative functions and gain insight into product costing.
Strategic Understanding: Develop a working knowledge of production scheduling, budgeting, and expense control processes, contributing to a strategic and well-informed approach.
Leadership and Compliance: Supervise activities in line with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Embrace a commitment to Continuous Improvement, efficiency standards, and safety.
Holistic Learning: Gain insight into Human Resources policies and practices, tour UFP facilities and customer locations, and complete directed courses and assignments to foster a well-rounded understanding of operations.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare various reports as required, showcasing your attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
Job Specifications:
Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Excel/spreadsheets is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Analytical, problem-solving, and engineering skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact successfully with all organizational levels and the public.
- Proficiency in business math and the ability to apply it to manufacturing processes.

Working Conditions:
