Oceanview Capital Partners, Inc. (“Oceanview”) is an operationally focused private equity firm with committed capital and over a dozen portfolio companies. Oceanview invests its own capital in control and non-control investments valued at up to $500 million. Oceanview focuses on investing in and scaling its portfolio companies, leveraging its proven expertise in driving growth and value creation. The firm’s portfolio benefits from Oceanview’s deep expertise in areas such as strategic planning, capital allocation, operational scaling, transaction structuring, and corporate governance.
This position is a unique opportunity for highly motivated individuals to assume a wide set of responsibilities and make a significant impact in a growing, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment at the firm’s headquarters in Glendale, CA. This role reports directly to the Founder of Oceanview and works closely with the CEOs of portfolio companies and other senior leadership and is integral to the firm’s daily operations. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, conducting detailed analyses, and working closely with senior leadership across Oceanview’s portfolio. Given the firm’s strong emphasis on portfolio operations, this is not a traditional private equity role. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple deadlines, while collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
As an Oceanview Capital Private Equity Associate, you will work closely with Oceanview’s various portfolio companies. You will work with senior leadership to optimize portfolio company operations and identify and implement processes for various growth initiatives.
The candidate selected for this role will receive exposure to various industries and will be given the opportunity to assume leadership roles within Oceanview’s portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, corporate finance, or a related field preferred
- Finance, Business Administration, Business Economics, Accounting, and Economics majors preferred
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is required (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated interest in portfolio company operations and strategic growth initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong academic record and familiarity with accounting, corporate finance, and financial statement analysis
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, superior work ethic, integrity, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, particularly when working with sensitive information
- High level of energy and flexibility with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Priority will be given to candidates with ties to the Greater Los Angeles area
Compensation:
The compensation depends on the candidate’s experience with an emphasis on discretionary bonuses.
