Brief Description
MSIM’s global listed infrastructure team is looking for a Product Specialist, who will assist in marketing, client service, and ESG engagement efforts for the team’s Global Listed Infrastructure and Energy Transition and Innovation Opportunities strategies. In that role, the Product Specialist will interact both with internal teams within MSIM (e.g., investment team, sales, operations, and performance analytics/reporting teams), as well as external counterparties (primarily existing clients and new prospects, but also portfolio company management teams as it relates to ESG efforts). Specifically relating to ESG initiatives, the Product Specialist will be able to leverage the ESG expertise within Calvert Research and Management, as well as leverage the ESG strategy set by the Global Head of ESG Real Assets. The Product Specialist will report to Matthew King, the portfolio manager responsible for MSIM’s global listed infrastructure strategies.
Position Overview
The Product Specialist will primarily be involved in five business areas:
– Preparation of marketing materials and client reports, RFPs
– New business development and strategic planning
– Client relationship management, including operational assistance for Separately Managed Account (“SMA”) clients
– Service liaison to global distribution organization (partner with sales, marketing, and consultants)
– ESG engagement and coordination
Qualifications
– Graduate or undergraduate degree holder with 2 – 8 years of professional experience
– Experience working within a marketing / client relations role, with infrastructure / real assets experience preferred but not required
– A strong foundation in business, finance, and/or related fields, evidenced by a relevant degree, appropriate industry qualification and/or relevant work experience
– Excellent marketing and communication skills; ability to influence people and engage with internal/external stakeholders
– ESG/Sustainability knowledge preferred. Experience with ESG industry initiatives and reporting frameworks including PRI, TCFD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy
– Strong interest and understanding of key ESG real assets topics, such as renewable energy, energy management, climate risk, etc.
