Home Detail Services LLC, which does ladder-related home maintenance such as gutter cleaning, window cleaning, solar panel cleaning, and Christmas lighting, concentrating on the Sacramento area 55+ active living retirement communities, is seeking an Accounting Intern. The Accounting Intern would have the freedom to develop a project focused on solving Home Detail Services LLC’s accounting-related business needs such as improving accounting systems, introducing a new invoice/billing system, and implementing automatic payments through a new subscription-like maintenance plan revenue model that Home Detail Services LLC’s customers can sign up for to have Home Details take care of their property maintenance needs.
Below are a few particular accounting-related business needs which the Accounting Intern can use as a starting point for their project:
- Organize business revenue and expenses in Odoo
- Do bookkeeping for the business
- Determine which KPIs are important for decision making for the business
- Create financial statements (i.e. P&L, statement of cash flows, and balance sheet) for the business

Details about the opportunity
- Internships run during the Fall Quarter or Semester, Winter Quarter, Spring Quarter or Semester, and summer.
- Ideal candidate for this unpaid internship would be someone who could grow into a paid role with more responsibilities.
- Intern must be:
- Enrolled as a student
- Enrolled in an internship course for academic credit
- Entry into an internship course for academic credit must be verifiable
- All work will be done remotely
- Communications will be made via Google Meet, text, call, or email
- Minimum time required for Accounting Internship: 40 hours total over the academic quarter/semester
