Overview
Help for Healthcare Professionals (HHCP) is a nurse-owned nonprofit organization based in Georgia, dedicated to empowering healthcare workers, first responders, and their families through advocacy, education, and crisis relief programs. HHCP seeks a dynamic, detail oriented, and proactive Information Technology Lead Intern to oversee and grow our technology back office operations which support the delivery mechanism of our organization’s mission.
Job Summary
The IT Lead Intern offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in information technology operations while leading junior interns in the system development and design for a growing non-profit operation.
Key Responsibilities
System Design Development:
- Design and implement plans to manage and improve the information technology purchases and management decisions.
- Develop and maintain clear guidelines, system security, and training materials for all internal and external users.
Application and User Provisioning:
- Plan and execute group assignments, account provisioning and setup activities, and data migration and integration activities.
Training & Development:
- Develop and lead junior level interns to offer troubleshooting and maintenance support for hardware and software system operations..
- Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities to ensure positive engagement and retention.
Website Maintenance and Integration:
- Manage and execute basic website updates using Wix platform
- Integrate system connections from our back office tech stack and social media platforms with our website.
Data Migration and Management:
- Monitor and evaluate file storage and retrieval procedures
- Create and maintain the file storage and data directory for application and business operations effectiveness and performance metrics.
- Develop reports to track uses, impacts, and organizational performance of data within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a related field required. Pursuing or recently completing a Master’s degree program is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience managing information technology or system development in a nonprofit or similar setting.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Wix, and Project Management software.
- Passion for community engagement, health equity, and supporting healthcare professionals.
Compensation and Benefits
