2025 & 26 Tax Preparation Internships at GROCO CPAs & Advisors:
This is a paid full-time in-office position in our Overland Park, KS office from mid-January to mid-April. Compensation is market rate, typically between $20 and $30/hour for interns depending on experience. Founded in 1964, Greenstein, Rogoff, Olsen & Co., LLP (GROCO), is a Family Office tax and advisory CPA firm in the San Francisco and Kansas City areas. These internships will include robust training, be a great learning experience and hopefully lead to exciting careers. Our clients’ work ranges from very simple individual tax returns to very complex, ultra-high-net-worth advisory. Each intern will be assigned a buddy, typically a staff accountant, so they always have someone they can easily ask questions. After training, responsibilities include:
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns
- Organize and prepare work papers for tax returns
- Perform tax research and learn tax laws
- Work effectively with staff on assigned projects
- Demonstrate ability to perform responsibilities timely and effectively
- Exhibit a professional, cooperative attitude in working with individuals
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of tax, accounting, MS Excel, and business principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine interest in people
- Interest in taking on challenges and seeking alternative solutions.
- Have interest in a tax advisory career & ambition to establish their own client base someday.
- Self-starter, ambitious & open to future business development
- Ideally, leadership and/or entrepreneurship experience
This full-time tax preparation internship will be from mid-January to mid-April, exact dates TBD.
