Buffalo 8 is a full-service media company with three principal offices across Los Angeles and New Mexico. Buffalo 8 operates five core service divisions: development, production, post-production, distribution, and creative branding with accolades from the Sundance, Berlin, Toronto, Tribeca, and SXSW festivals. Buffalo 8 works closely with its sister company, BondIt Media Capital, a world-renowned film, television and media financier founded in November 2013.

To begin the internship, interns will have the opportunity to work at Buffalo 8 and BondIt Media Capital, on projects overlapping across both companies and all five service divisions. Finance Interns will find their workflow more focused on BondIt related tasks.

Finance Intern responsibilities include: gathering lead lists for business development and organizing grids, updating and maintaining the companies’ operating systems, building financial models and analyses, inputting new leads into the companies’ CRM software, performing in depth diligence of financial materials for prospective deals, supporting analysts on deal specific items, reading scripts and providing coverage, screening film and TV pilots and providing feedback, and other daily tasks as they arise to support the management team.

Those with Post-Production experience/skills may have the opportunity to spend time at our Post House.

The position offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both film and media finance, related production services and a stronger perspective of producing film and television content. Candidates should have superior oral and written communication skills, be eager to learn about the entertainment industry, and have a strong work ethic. Graphic Design skills are a plus but not a requirement.

Applicants should submit a resumé with a brief cover letter describing their interest and any relevant skills/experience. Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, or recent graduates (preferably within two years), are all eligible to apply. Able to work remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please specify remote or in-person preference in cover letter.
