Job description
We are seeking a driven Tax Associate to join our growing Tax Advisory practice. This role is ideal for those who enjoy navigating complex tax matters for small businesses and high-net-worth individuals in a collaborative environment, while maintaining a strong work-life balance. Although this is primarily a remote role, we are looking for someone based in the Tri-State area (Philadelphia), as we meet in person a few times a year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
- Research and apply relevant sections of the tax code to client scenarios.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain findings, and provide proactive tax advice.
- Support tax planning and consulting projects under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaborate closely with the team to ensure timely and accurate client deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Preferred EA or CPA
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and planning for individuals and businesses.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state tax codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with modern tax software and cloud-based systems preferred.
- Metropolitan area required.
- Prepare individual and entity tax returns with a strong focus on accuracy and client service
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to gather information and address tax-related matters
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent time-management skills
