I’ve been trying to explain how to AI-Proof your career in one napkin sketch and I think I’ve finally cracked the code… 🙂
Because even though I put a tsunami on the cover of my book… 🌊
…the real metaphor is more like a slowly rising tide! 🏝️
(Albeit, a lot less sexy for a book cover… 😉
In other words:
❌ AI isn’t going to come in and take every job TOMORROW…
✅ But it will slowly, but surely, come for specific skills that are a natural fit for its pattern-matching “brain” (spitting out text, code, and data).
And so the strategy is super clear:
❌ DON’T quit your job and become a plumber…
✅ But absolutely DO start to build the higher-level, more humanistic skills (communication, relationship-building, leadership) that AI won’t be able to touch tomorrow – or maybe ever!
For example, if you’re a software developer just banging out code today, how do you become a software leader who sets the vision for the team tomorrow?
Which means the two key words to remember aren’t “FREAK OUT”…
👉 Instead, they’re “RISE ABOVE” 🚀
