Firsthand’s MBA Virtual Career Fair: Career Paths Panel Discussion

Firsthand’s MBA Virtual Career Fair: Career Paths Panel Discussion was originally published on Firsthand.

On Friday, February 11, Firsthand held its first annual MBA Virtual Career Fair. The Fair was geared toward first- and second-year MBA students looking to prepare for and find internships and full-time positions. The Fair allowed students to connect with top employers and included a keynote speech focused on onboarding by George Bradt, the Chairman of PrimeGenesis and author of The New Leader's 100-Day Action Plan: Take Charge, Build Your Team, and Get Immediate Results. Fair attendees were also treated to a discussion of the all-important consulting case interview, a panel event focused on ESG and ESG-related careers, and a panel focused on international student job-search issues.

In addition, fair attendees were able to join a Career Paths Panel Discussion, which featured several prominent panelists from a variety of industries: Derek Murphy, head of business development for the podcast and audio book giant Audible; Laura Lukehart, a director in the restructuring group at leading investment bank Lazard; Jonathan Burgart, director of U.S. core diagnostics for health care giant Abbott Labs; and Richard Gentner, who has more than 25 years of e-commerce and consumer insights experience for various household-name brands.

The panel discussion focused on the pros and challenges of the panelists' various career paths, and touched on the skills, attributes, and experience neeeded to succeed in each path. Below, you can watch the Career Paths Panel from our Virtual Fair in its entirety.

Later this week, we'll be posting videos of the other panels and discussions from our Fair, so check back then.
